The Seminar for the 2nd International Public Art Award

What is the Fine Public Art?

“What is the fine public art?” since the establishment of the concept in 1960s’, it’s been perceived mostly as the public space related work or environment design. However, with the development of the society, the public Art nowadays has already become a thinking or working manner instead of an art style. In the developed countries, public arts is been regarded as a public culture welfare at home, which allows people to enjoy an artistic life environment, reduce the negative impact caused by the urban modernization, and become an operation system to participate in area construction and solve practical issues. “Landing Remodeling” is the core of this operation system, which reflects the meaning of civilization rebuilding and culture ecology. At 15th Sept 2014, at 2-4pm after the judging process is been completed 7 event jurors will have a discussion at 2-4pm in the Lecture Room of Shanghai University Administration Building to present their own opinions via the good case study in the event also answer the questions from audience. The whole conversation will be translated live by professional interpreters.
